Baggage Sortation Management (BSM) is a specialist designer, installer and operator of manual and Automated Baggage Handling Systems, including state of the art bar code reading and airport baggage sortation systems.

We have the backing and support of a selected specialized group of subcontractors, who are proven and respected suppliers of equipment and services.

This infrastructure allows BSM to be competitive in offering our expertise as a systems integrator working closely with our key suppliers.

BSM was created in 2001 by some of the industry’s leading minds to fill a perceived hole in the current service provided by many of today’s manufacturers.

The BSM Team have been involved with the design and development of Automatic Sortation Systems since 1989, such as Barcode readers, Radio Frequency tag systems, belt tracking software and baggage Diverters. Using state of the art motor control units and integrated control systems.

Today BSM is helping airlines the world over design and implement new technologies such as Checked Bag Screening integrating this with existing systems.

Phil Bowyer founder of Baggage Sortation Management Limited has 30 years experience in: ● Product Design, Estimating, Project Implementation, Marketing, Budgeting, Operations & Maintenance, Tendering Projects to the Airline Industry in North America, Asia, United Kingdom, Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Australian regions. Phil is presently engaged in design studies and consultancy for: ● Qantas Domestic Terminals through out Australia, ● Principal consultant for the New Adelaide multi user terminal and ● Auckland International Airport for the New Automated checked baggage screening system. This experience throughout the world on so many projects creates a depth of knowledge and commitment to match the technical and commercial market requirements for today's Baggage handling needs.

Ken White - Senior Project Director Qualifications: Advanced trades electrical technician. BSc. Industrial Operations and Management Senior projects director for BSM Ken has 18 years experience in Airport automated baggage handling systems coupled with his previous experience in owning and managing his own electrical business manufacturing electrical control cabinets with the installation of automated process plants for Oil, Tobacco, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Companies. Ken has been involved in Major Automated baggage systems through out Australia, New Zealand and North America as a senior project manager and director and is presently engaged on the following projects: ● Brisbane Airport Expansion Project ● Christchurch International Airport ● Consultancy for various CBS projects. The experience Ken has in the Airport baggage handling industry along with his previous electrical business experience provides BSM with a depth of expertise and knowledge required for the state of the art systems BSM provides to the market place.
